Yes! I had my first time on set!! I am now officially in this crazy magnificent film world! It was absolutely amazing and I want to live in a recording set! You will be able to see the project soon and I am working on the making off for you guys to see a little bit of my ride. BUT… I’m already working on another two projects AND taking my drivers license (after years delaying, I choose the most tumultuous time \o/)  AND I got sick for not sleeping and getting up very early in the cold… Well, everything for the art right?

     So, I’m gonna stop writing, although I could write forever! I’m gonna leave you with some pictures and a promise of a making off and then I can talk about my current project that is even more exciting! 

     I know! I completely abandoned here… And for that I am sorry!
     I do have a explanation, I moved back to Brasil, I am so happy to be back in my country after 12 years gone. I also started in a new university, film also. I am truly enjoying this time and I will have so much to tell you about! My class is very nice, we work great together and the feeling on set is amazing!

     For now I can only show you a little preview of what we are doing and hope you come back to see the final result.  

     So, I’ll be back soon to tell you about this project and show you a little bit more.

I’m back! I want to recomend a movie that I’ve heard about. It’s called ‘Loosies’.

The reason I want to share this film with you is that it is an independent movie and it looks great! I find very important to pass along good independent films, it’s not easy to get your material seen, even if it’s writen and featured by Peter Facinelli (who works on The Twilight Saga). So, if you watch it tell me what you think!

I am so sorry for the missing, no news for a while and it’s starting to be only “trailer of the week” entries… Gotta inovate this place!

I have some news, besides being dedicanting everyday to college, my blog entry about my meet with Jordi Gironès was picked to be in #Cinematographers online newspaper, made me really happy!

I’ve been trying to make people to read it because it meant a lot to me and can mean a lot to you to, sometimes we can doubt that something that we wish is going to happen, but we can never give up!

In other news, I started to write a movie, I’ve already started other two movies but never ended because I wasn’t completly in love with the stories, enthusiams was missing, and now, I wrote in 2 hours what took me 1 year to write in other cases! Now I am enjoying being a writer and I feel I am going on the right direction!
Any tips if your a writer or an aspirant as me?

Tuesday, 15.11.11, Jordi Gironès, a former student from my university, went to pay us a visit and talk about how his career was going after he finished his studies (back in 2001). I must confess I’ve got really emotional! It is so inspiring to see other people succeed, even more when you’re on the same place they where, taking the same steps they did.

    He was really honest about how things went, when it came the time to choose what he really was passionate about thing got hard. But he fought for what he wanted, he left his well established publicity company and went after 3D movie animation path. Even this being what he loves the most, he failed the 3D signature our college offers, but he researched and practiced, went back and finished it. so, after he dropped his company, he moved to London with the amazing plan of finding a job in a movie company, but ended up as a waitress. After 1 year with no money, his parents bought him a ticket back to Spain, that’s when he got a e-mail for an interview in Glasgow for a short film. This still didn’t made him much money, but opened a door for the video-game industry and the video-game industry opened the so wanted door in the London companies.
    He got this e-mail for another interview, this one took 5 hours and was conducted by animations supervisors of “Harry Potter” and “The Golden Compass”. Next thing he knows he is doing small animation for “Harry Potter” (And the Goblet of Fire) and some bigger ones for “The Golden Compass” (which won a Oscar, pictured above).
    He stayed in London for 4 years and worked in other big films like “Narnia” and “The Clash of Titans”. Tired of England’s weather, he decided something new and aimed a company in Sidney. He got the job and got the chance to work with one of his “idols” George Miller (who worked with George Lucas in Star Wars).

    Right now, he showed exclusive images from his last work “Happy Feet 2” (WICH OPENS TODAY 18.11.11!!!).

    I was REALLY honored to be part of this event (which I do not have pictures due to be crying over being in the same room with someone with such an amazing experience) it was really thrilling and I hope I can inspire another aspiring filmmakers with this enormous text as much I was inspired by Jordi!

Happy Halloween everyone!
I have a few things to say about this ‘Trailer of the Week’… Today I entered IMDB so I could choose a film to sugest and I saw in the main page a featured trailer from ‘Elite Squad 2’, this would have been completly normal if I wasn’t brazilian and this wasn’t a brazilian movie! It got me really happy! I am really proud to see our industry growing and seeing people reconizing us!

And there’s an Oscar buzzing and if we get nominated would be amazing!

After a prison riot, Captain Nascimiento, now a high ranking security officer in Rio de Janeiro, is swept into a bloody political dispute that involves only government officials and paramilitary groups.
